Who We Are
This committee is made up of representatives of construction labor unions and signatory contractors that do business in central Pennsylvania.
The Central Pennsylvania Building Trades Council is composed of a variety of construction trades that represent the crafts required to accomplish any new construction or maintenance project. The Building Trades offer highly trained personnel to accomplish projects safely, on time, and within budget. The work quality offered by the Building Trades is a result of a highly developed, state-certified, apprenticeship training program and the utilization of highly experienced craftsmen. The qualified labor pool existing within the Building Trades also provides the ability to accomplish complete large projects requiring a large quantity of skilled craftsmen.
The member contractors of CP2 provide skilled and experienced management of projects employing craftsmen of the Building Trades. All of the contractors contribute to the apprenticeship programs of the Trades and, in a majority of the cases, actually participate in the apprenticeship programs. This involvement assures management input into the development of new craftsmen.
Our goal is to provide cost-competitive, quality, and safe construction projects.
What We Do
CP2 provides a forum through which unions and contractors can consider and recommend how to continually improve the efficiency and competitiveness of union construction in central Pennsylvania AND provide documented evidence to owners and design professionals of such effectiveness and competitive advantages.
